Capacity Building at National Level

NCPC has in-house facilities to offer training and capacity building services to industries and other organizations. The centre conducts both Awareness Programmes as well as Training Programmes/Workshops on the following topics and tools

National Cleaner Production Centre conducts awareness and training programmes regularly to introduce new tools and techniques related to Environmental Management. In addition this NCPC can also conduct tailor-made, industry specific in-house awareness and training programmes for interested industries/organizations.

NCPC also conducts an annual Cleaner Production Auditor Training Programme to train and develop a set of auditors who upon completion of the training will be given the opportunity to work with the centre on CP projects.

Information Dissemination

National Cleaner Production Centre has set up a reference library for the benefit of all stakeholders. Over 500 publications, CDs, Films and other sources of information are available at this library.

If you are interested in accessing the NCPC library kindly call over at our office between 08. 30 am and 05.00 pm on Weekdays and meet Mr. Lalith Wasantha. Kindly note that books will not be lent as this is a reference library (Photocopying of limited number of pages can be arranged at a nominal cost).

Laboratory Services

In an effort to assist local industries to monitor and maintain their environmental performance NCPC has purchased several key measuring equipment which can be hired on a daily basis from the Centre. However equipment will not be hired without a consultant of NCPC to undertake the measuring work.

* Cost per boiler

Kindly note that in addition to the Hiring Charges a fixed cost of Rs. 2,000/- will be charged as consultant’s fee. Transport charges will be at the rate of Rs. 20/- per kilometre.
