Mr. Krishan Gayantha is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka. He joined the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC) Sri Lanka in 2022 as a member of the Energy Management Team.
He possesses over three years of professional experience and has made significant contributions to more than 70 energy audits conducted across industrial and commercial facilities in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Vietnam. His technical expertise encompasses ASHRAE Level I and Level II energy audits, Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production assessments, and the implementation of Energy Management Systems across key sectors including textile and apparel, fast-moving consumer goods, construction materials, rubber manufacturing, and commercial buildings.
Mr. Gayantha has been actively involved in several internationally funded sustainability and climate action initiatives. He is a certified ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management Systems Lead Auditor and an Eco-Label Lead Auditor, with demonstrated expertise in industrial energy efficiency, climate change mitigation, and sustainable industrial development.
