“Resource Efficient Cleaner Production (RECP) Assessment and Capacity Building programme for Local Industries” project is a one-year project funded by the Ministry of Industries.

Project benefits

• Improve resource efficiency (energy, water, and material) of selected industries in Sri Lanka
• Develop a Resource Efficient Manager within the industry
• Develop capacity among the staff of selected industries on RECP
• Encourage other industries in these sectors to follow the RECP concept

• Electrical & Electronic Sector
• Automobile component manufacturing & assembling sector
• Plastic & Rubber sector
• Wood & Wood-based Industries sectors
• Ceramic & tile sector
• Paint manufacturing sector
• Metal sector
• Manufacturing plant should be located within Western Province
• Commitment to current and future works in sustainable practices
