Energy Engineer

Munsif is an Engineering graduate from Curtin University and is currently reading for a Masters in Sustainable Process Engineering at University of Moratuwa. He joined NCPC in 2016 as a member of the Energy Management team. During his six (6) years tenure, he has been involved in conducting CP assessments in more than 100 industries, energy audits in more than 60 industries and consulted in developing ISO 50001 EnMS in more than 15 industrial and commercial buildings.

He was a key member in project METABUILD: an EU Switch Asia funded project in South Asia. The four-year project lead to 3,878 tonCO2eq GHG reduction through resource efficiency improvements in 81 SMEs in metal sector in Sri Lanka.

He is a Technical Consultant for EU-SWITCH ASIA project “PROMISE” which aims to prevent leakage of wastes into the Lakshadweep Sea from tourism industry in line with Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) approach.

Munsif also holds a diploma in Electronic Engineering and have received trainings in Energy management, Resource efficiency, Life Cycle Inventory database development, Green Chemistry and Eco Label development in Sri Lanka and India.
